July 31 Practice Notes

Practice Notes : The Saints participated in arguably their most physical practice of training camp this afternoon on the upper athletic fields at Millsaps College. Hitting began early and lasted often over the course of the two hour and 15 minute session and at least three sessions in particular witnessed the pace at game speed with live tackling throughout the periods. In a drill rarely seen, receivers lined up in a three point stances with a defensive back squarely across the line from them in a live blocking drill and with a running back behind them.

Saints Team Up with the Special Olympics for A Special Day of Bowling

On Sunday, April 19 over a dozen members of the New Orleans Saints  enjoyed an afternoon of bowling with local Special Olympics athletes at their 2009 Sol Bowl event at Colonial Bowling Lanes in Harahan, Louisiana! Among the players that participated were Marques Colston , Robert Meachem , Hollis Thomas , Skyler Green, Glenn Pakulak, Zach Strief , Leigh Torrence , Jason David , Buck Ortega , Jeff Charleston , Tim Duckworth , and Lynell Hamilton along with Saints Team Ambassador, Michael Lewis .
